St Matthew's C of E Primary School is a friendly, small, rural primary school where everyone knows each other but we also offer children a wide range of different opportunities. The school site is large with lots of green, natural space which includes a large playing field, willow trail, trim trail and forest school area. We also have a quieter area where children can choose to read in our story telling area or talk to friends.
St Matthew's is part of The Kite Primary Federation with Norwell C of E Primary School based in Norwell which is a few miles away. This provides wonderful opportunities for the children to develop new friendships which last all the way to secondary school. From the moment children start in our school, opportunities are carefully planned through the curriculum, trips out, sports afternoons, joint Sports Days and residentials for the children to build new friendships and develop existing ones. Both schools are feeder schools to Tuxford Academy and through this very close relationship, transition is made much simpler through knowing more of their peers and because of the excellent transition experiences offered by the Academy.
We have a thriving parents' association called Friends of Normanton School ( FONS) who organise exciting events throughout the year for the pupils and their families. This close relationship with families is very important to us as we want children and their families to thrive through their association with our school.
If you would like your child to have the opportunity to flourish in a caring, family school where each and every child is valued, please do contact us and visit us to see why we think St Matthew's C of E Primary School is so special. Please contact us on 01636 821217 to make an appointment and we would be very happy to show you around.
Best wishes
